When I was 8-12 years old, I lived along Ala Moana Blvd in Honolulu, HA and I   stumbled
onto this display case one day when I was wandering one day after school. Here I am 20 years
later and the display case was still there and hadn't changed much. The 29th infantry brigade
is Hawaii's main army national gaurd unit and its units are all over the pacific island chain
as far as Guam. One day, while I was playinig in the 'sand box' area near Ala Wai
elementary, I discovered an army hat (just like the one above) that one of the soldiers must
have dropped when he went by the school to pick up his children. So I had little memories like
that sparking here and there when I returned to Hawaii for a duty assignment.
