That's me on the left about to begin rappelling off the 50 foot tower under rappel master

This is the view from the bottom of the 50 foot tower, at Fort Hunter Ligget, CA.

Here SFC Evans, you can see his clenched fist to my left,  reminding me to
maintain the proper 'brake' and to 'bound' 3 times during my decent.

Here's the view the person on belay would see (they hold the rope, which you
can see dangeling below me, for safety purposes - should I 'freefall' for example)
Unfortunatel the photo taken of me, more than half way down, didn't come out
to well, during the scanning process, so I don't have a close-up of myslef to show you.
(the actual photo is already blured from the mid-day sun beaming down from above)
One of the reasons most guys don't bother taking photos even when the
can is lighting. Most military training and operations are conducted in bad weather,
nighttime, or under fast paced conditions in which there's no time to take photos.
Not to mention the impossibility of packing a nice camera & photographic lens.
So it's quite difficult to get 'action' photos, especially closeups of the individuals doing
them.
